FAMCON is constructed from three geometric features. The first feature is that the thread angle is set at 55° to increase pull-out resistance without reducing thread strength, with a head-side flank angle of 15° and a counter flank angle of 40°, creating an unequal angle thread. The second feature is the arrangement of U-shaped notches along the entire length of the threaded section to enhance screw-in capability. The third feature is that the notched part of the thread creates a recessed area at the bottom of the thread valley to serve as a collection point for the shavings produced during machining.
